This programme has all the tools, strategies and guidelines that you need to have the kind or relationship you want with your children and to give them the best start in life, by showing you the TRUE causes of your child’s behaviour.
Find out exactly why children behave the way that they do, this is fascinating and you are likely to be left thinking, why didn’t someone ever mention this before? You will gain insight into how you as a parent affect your child’s behaviour so that you can focus on doing things that will give you the results that you want.
You will consider how nurturing your child’s spirit, helps them to feel more positive about themselves. It also shows you why this is vital because your children will ultimately become what they feel about themselves.
You will get down to the business of handling your child’s unwanted behaviour. You will learn about the different types of behaviour and the very best way to handle them. You will make a detailed plan of action using, positive assertive consequences that are appropriate for your child’s age and stage of development and behaviour, so that you can be successful consistent and confident in your approach to your child’s misbehaviour.
You will look at how you can live as a family happily ever after. You will look at the big picture of family life, which is essential because your general wellbeing directly affects the way that you behave which in turn affects your child’s behaviour.
You as the parent have the most influence on your child’s behaviour. Each child has a different background, culture and environment which do affect their behaviour, however as their parent it is you that really shapes and influences their behaviour.
This is good news, because it means that you have the power to change your child’s behaviour, as it all starts with you!
Your child’s behaviour is directly affected by the things that you say and do to them, or by what you don’t say or do to them. This means that, if you change your behaviour you will be able to change your child’s behaviour.
Unfortunately when children misbehave you may just try a few things that people have told you will work, which can just be masking the real problem.
This is why during the programme you will addresses the true cause of your child’s unwanted behaviour and cover everything you need to know so that you can get from where you are to where you want to be with your child.
The improvements in your child’s behaviour will not just be for a few days, but you will experience major long lasting results that will help put your child on track to become a happy, confident, successful adult. Isn’t that what you want for your child?
I love the whole idea and I have been trying to use them with my son. I have been trying really hard to not bribe and instead giving praises and rewards when he does something good without being prompted to. My son just turned 2 and I have been seeing a big improvement. He still of course has his melt downs and such, but I do notice that on the days I really focus on praising and such, he doesn’t have very many tantrums if any at all. I think your book will be something every parent should read, especially first time parents! I wish I had known all this before I had my son because it’s easier to decide a plan and stick with it instead of trying to change everything you have already been doing. Such as we decided to try and avoid the word no except for dangerous situations, instead we would say “uh-oh so sorry” and now my son is 2 and has never said the word no! If I had read this book I would probably be able to say that we never had a behavior problem with him! Today so many parents don’t discipline and that’s so wrong and this book really helps you see that you don’t really have to be a bad guy, but you do need to set boundaries and keep them as well as reward and praise often when they do good things. Rachel!
