Story

OUR

Ruth has spent over 40 years working with children and families. She started in early childhood education, studied psychology, and spent decades in schools, PRUs, and family homes seeing what actually works - and what doesn't.

What she kept seeing was the same thing: parents being told to use time-outs, naughty steps, reward charts, and consequences. And it not working. Or working for a week and then falling apart.

So she built something different - The Parent's Guide to Children's Behaviour. A practical, positive approach that helps parents understand what's really going on underneath the behaviour, and create change that lasts.

Ruth launched Child Behaviour Direct to bring that approach to more families and the professionals who support them. We're now a CAFSS West Midlands approved provider, working with parents, schools, and children's services across the region.

What we believe

Behaviour always has a reason.

Parents don't need more rules - they need more understanding.

And change that doesn't last isn't change at all.
